The brown cow dominates the Andorran valleys

Brown cow

Livestock farming is one of the main sources of food production in the Principality. In fact, the Andorran flag displays two cows as a representative symbol of the country and is the only one in the world that integrates two specimens of this animal.

The most common is the brown cow, which adapts to our mountains and the traditional cattle farming systems. They are animals with a marked rusticity that can easily move through the high mountain pastures of Andorra and have important advantages when it comes to routine livestock management (docile character, ease of natural delivery, good use of pasture, etc.).
