The Carlemany Cross is located behind the Meritxell Sanctuary in Canillo. To access it, you have to take a small hike that is very easy to do and offers pleasant views.
The cross dates back to the s. XVI and is nailed on a pedestal that stands on a large rock. Formerly, the sculpture was called Cross of Meritxell and was a reference for all those travelers and pilgrims who made their way to the Sanctuary.
