Located in the valleys of Comapedrosa natural park, the "Estany Negre" is at an altitude of 2,628 metres. The route starts at Prats Sobirans, in the village of Arinsal, and you must follow the GR11 at all times. The total distance of the route is 11.5 kilometres and there are 1,050 metres of difference in altitude, so it is classified as a difficult trail. In fact, the last part of the route is very rocky and it is advisable to walk well. The ascent time is approximately three hours and the entire route is estimated to take five hours.
Once we reach the "estany Negre", we can advance towards the ridge that leads to the highest peak in Andorra, Comapedrosa. The path is marked with yellow dots and has a gradient of about 300 metres, so it takes about an hour to complete.
