The Pollós River


The Pollós River is located in the Comapedrosa Natural Park, at the bottom of the Interpretative Circuit (La Massana). The stream is surrounded by pine trees of red pine, deciduous thicknesses and other tree species such as the red elderberry, the gatsaule, the tèmol or the birch.


On top of that, the area integrates a very particular ecosystem of fauna and flora. It contemplates different species of birds, such as the hooded warbler or the common plane. It also hosts the aquatic blackbird or the Pyrenean newt (two native fish of the country). Finally, around the Pollós river we can find roe deer, martens, badgers and foxes.
