The statue of Mossén Jacint Verdaguer is located in the Mola de Escaldes-Engordany Park. The figurine was placed in 2002 in tribute to the Catalan writer and on the occasion of the centenary of his death. The work shows the attire on which Verdaguer arrived to the Principality after the many adventures he lived through the port of Rat; with a long coat, a priest’s hat and a briefcase full of poetry and writings. The work is made of crushed stone and is by the Andorran artist Sergi Mas.
Verdaguer dedicated to Andorra some of his most beautiful verses of the Canigó Song.
