Tomb de les Neres: A fascinating circular route through the landscapes of Andorra

Casamanya Peak from the Tomb de les Neres path Andorra

The Tomb de les Neres Trail , which runs around the imposing Bony de les Neres (2,212 metres high), is one of the most accessible and recommended routes in Andorra. This circular route connects the parishes of Canillo, Encamp, La Massana and Ordino, crossing dense forests and open meadows, ideal for those looking for a walk in the middle of nature without great difficulties. The most recommended point to start the route is the Coll d'Ordino ( 42.55634504390954, 1.5729855392754295), known for its impressive views and easy access.

With excellent signage along the entire route , the Tomb de les Neres offers an immersive experience in the Pyrenean landscapes. From the start, we can find natural fountains, rest areas and panoramic viewpoints that invite us to enjoy the tranquility of nature.

This route is suitable for families, as its low difficulty allows children to participate and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, although it is important to take into account the total distance of the route (about 8 km in total).

Along the circuit, we enter different forests, such as the Tosa forest, which stands out for its freshness and abundance of flora . Continuing towards Canillo, the landscape transforms into the Plana Blanca forest, where black pines predominate and from which we can appreciate spectacular views of the Encamp valley and the emblematic Engolasters lake.

We continue along the path towards the parish of La Massana, passing through the Collado del Estall, a key point that offers access to dense forests of red pines and birches.

At this point we decided to take a break with our furry friends at Font de la Navina , a picnic area ideal for enjoying the scenery and regaining energy before tackling the last stretch of the route.

The most attractive thing about the Tomb de les Neres is its ability to combine the tranquility of nature with the diversity of fauna and flora.

On this route, it is very likely that we will encounter the presence of native birds and the curious conical anthills that dot the trails. In addition, the route offers privileged views of peaks such as Casamanya. (2,740 m) and the Comapedrosa (2,942 m), the highest in Andorra.
